With the multiple lasers on the Lumenis One a
broad range of skin conditions, hair types and skin types can
be treated. Because of the nature of laser light and intense
pulsed light therapy, patients who are actively tanning
(or are becoming tan due to passive sun exposure) risk
post treatment pigmentary changes. These are usually temporary
and treatable but can be permanent. For
this reason, patients undergoing laser hair and
vein removal must protect the treated areas from the sun for
2 weeks before and 2 weeks after their treatment session.
For Intense Pulse Light treatments the period is 4 weeks
before and after the session.
The
LightSheer diode laser on the Lumenis One
can treat all skin types for hair
removal. Generally, the darker the skin and the fairer
the hair to be treated, the more sessions required for
optimal results.
